NIELSEN YEAR IN SPORTS Report


The Goal

Nielsen’s sports team was looking for a new way to express their yearly sports statistics. This would require the synthesis of a great deal of data into effective infographics to tell an overarching story while strongly telegraphing Nielsen’s brand.

My Role

Nielsen has a comprehensive brand book with a full range of bright colors. I used those colors as the basis for making each sport into a color-coded “sub-brand”. Local Market Insights appeared on every page and was coded in Nielsen’s primary bright blue, and the Olympics and other multi-sport games featured Nielsen’s fully array of brand colors. I created any icon that wasn’t already in their collection and created all the infographics.

The Outcome

A new look was created for the Year in Sports, and the illustrations and infographics were available to use for future uses.
